Red light for recovery and training days
Recovery is mostly sleep, food, and load management. Light therapy is a small lever — but a small lever applied consistently is still worth pulling.

Before or after training
Pre-session light is often used to prime tissue before heavy work. Post-session light is aimed at the soreness and inflammation that follow. Both are defensible; pick one and keep the variable stable so you can tell whether it helps you.
Target the working tissue
Point the panel at what actually hurts.
- Quads and hamstrings after lower-body days.
- Shoulders and upper back after pressing or pulling volume.
- Knees, elbows, and Achilles for nagging stiffness.
A realistic timeline
Give it three to four weeks before you judge anything. Track one number — morning soreness out of ten, or how a familiar warm-up feels — instead of relying on memory.
